At about 8am this morning, a 33 year old male driver out Rio Linda was driving a gold 2001 Chevy Tahoe southbound on Rio Linda Blvd north of Marysville at a high rate of speed.
The roadway curved to the left and then straightened out. He failed to safely negotiate the roadway and veered left, off of the roadway where his vehicle overturned several times.
He was not wearing his seat-belt and was ejected out of his car where he was killed upon impact.
Toxicology is pending. It is unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs was a factor.
There were no other occupants on board and identification is pending notification of family.
