Tomorrow at 9am, the Rio Linda Shopping Center will hold it’s official Grand Opening and re-introduction to the Rio Linda/Elverta community.
Due to delays in construction and permitting, some of the businesses will not be open and selling. However, they will be open for people to take a look at what’s coming in the near future. Papa’s Pizza, Rio Linda Gym, and The Creamery will not be open for business, but they will have open doors and will be offering sneak peeks at what’s to come in the near future.
Of course, our old favorites like Creekside Diner and Mi Lindo Apatzingan will be open. New businesses such as Property Sisters, Insurance Sisters, The Key Shop, and Rio’s Vintage Marketplace will be open for business.
In addition, the day will be full of events such as a massive car show with over 50 cars and motorcycles, over 60 vendor booths, a Kids Zone, The Legion Riders, CQMA Quarter-Midgets and more. AND… it will be about 10 degrees cooler than today.
Bring a hat and some sunscreen and come see what all the excitement is about. Come get the answers to all the questions you’ve been asking about the gym and Papa’s and the Creamery. Come see the newly renovated Mi Lindo Apatzingan. Mostly, come enjoy the revitalization of the shopping center and our community, which is rising like a Phoenix after nearly 20 years of standing mostly vacant and abandoned.
If you’d like to get involved, it’s not too late. Call Christina Ratcliff at 916-548-2535.
