Twin Rivers Unified will honor and celebrate the Class of 2020 via virtual graduations and promotion ceremonies. Graduations and promotion ceremony videos and livestreams will be posted to school websites.
After spending the past several weeks gathering input and researching options, Rio Linda will be moving forward with a virtual graduation ceremony that provides an opportunity to honor each and every graduate in a unique way, while also ensuring the health and safety of our students and families.
Rio Linda’s virtual ceremony will be broadcast on SECC Comcast 15 & 16 and on YouTube on Saturday, June 13 at 7 p.m., and will be available for viewing anytime thereafter.
The virtual ceremony will include student and staff speakers, and it will also provide each graduate an opportunity to submit a short message and a recording of their name. RLHS will use student’s senior photos for the virtual ceremony unless it is not available. You should have already received a short email from MarchingOrder sent on May 16th with detailed instructions on how to produce these materials via the Internet.
Please note, this is a change from the date and time that the original graduation ceremony was scheduled.
The steps taken over the next few weeks will be crucial in ensuring that the virtual graduation is a success. These steps include the distribution of caps, gowns, cords, and other items tied to graduation on May 28th and 29th during senior checkout at RLHS.
