John’s passion for Rio Linda led him to pursue journalism, covering local football for the Rio Linda News in 1987. After a hiatus, he returned to his roots and launched MyRioLinda.com in 2005 to address local concerns.
In 2009, John saw a need for a more comprehensive local news source and founded RioLindaOnline.com. The website rapidly gained popularity, becoming the go-to platform for Rio Linda news and information.
John’s commitment to the community extends beyond journalism. He’s actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce and the RioLinda/Elverta Neighborhood Association. Additionally, Rio Linda Online has secured media credentials for major events like NASCAR at Sonoma Raceway, the Aftershock music festival, and the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, providing in depth coverage for local residents.
