Reading can take you anywhere. Dive into a good read this summer with Sacramento Public Library’s (SPL) annual Summer Reading challenge, which kicks off on June 1.
Kids, teens and adults can log books in any format– ebooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, and more–that they’ve read through August 15 to earn prizes. Readers of all ages can get started at www.saclibrary.org/summer and find Summer Reading programming for kids, teens and adults.
To help patrons discover their next great read, the library will host series of virtual Book Buzz events. Readers will learn what’s new this summer in the world of books directly from publishers including Harper Collins, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, Workman Publishing, and MacMillan Publishing. Adults can explore and discuss different genres through monthly virtual book clubs and meet popular authors like Jasmine Guillory at Authors Uncovered events. Librarians can also help readers discover more materials based on their interest through personalized reading recommendations or personal shopper service.
Visit www.saclibrary.org/summer to sign up for Summer Reading, and find events for adults, teens and kids.
