At approximately 01:39 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call regarding a subject who had been shot in the 5300 block of Auburn Boulevard in Sacramento County.
Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male who sustained at least one gunshot wound. Deputies provided emergency medical aid to the victim, however, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding personnel from the Sacramento Metro Fire Department.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the man as Antonio Armendariz, 23, of Rio Linda, according to coroner’s officials.
