We have before us an incredible opportunity to reshape the educational experience for all students in our district, but we can’t do it alone. We need your input in setting priorities that will ensure that every student at every grade level is on track to graduate college and career ready.
Please share your ideas by taking part in the upcoming Community Forums about the new Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), a critical part of California’s new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Prior to the new law, state leaders largely decided how much money was available to specific services and programs. Under the LCFF, school districts will decide how to use the funds. However, we want feedback that outlines how money will be allocated to support high-quality educational programs as we move forward in developing a roadmap for continuous improvement in our schools.
In order to gather as much information from you as possible, the Community Forums are scheduled at various times and locations in our district:
6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27th
- Grant High,1400 Grand Ave..Sacramento 95838
- Foothill High,5000 McCloud Dr.,Sacramento 95842
- Rio Linda High, 6309 Dry Creek Rd., Rio Linda 95673
10 a.m. to Noon Monday, March 17th -AND- 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25th
Twin Rivers District Office, 5115 Dudley Boulevard, McClellan, CA
There will be more opportunities for parent and community engagement. School sites will provide LCAP information to families and solicit feedback as well. Also, the LCAP is reviewed annually, so we will continue this work next year and beyond.
We are TR, and we believe in the power of collaboration and shared accountability. With you as a partner, there is no limit on what we can accomplish on behalf of our students.
If you have any further questions, please contact Twin Rivers Educational Services Department at (916) 566-1600, ext. 50264.
