Later this month, the Bradshaw Animal Shelter will open its doors, or rather, its park, to provide complimentary wellness services for canine companions. Scheduled for March 24, the event will unfold from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Freedom Park, located at 3200 Freedom Park Drive in North Highlands, ensuring that regardless of the weather, the clinic will proceed as planned.
This initiative is specifically designed to support low-income and unsheltered residents of Sacramento County, offering a suite of essential services aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of their dogs. The array of complimentary services includes rabies and DAPP vaccinations, microchipping, the provision of ID tags, licensing, collars, deworming, flea prevention, and the treatment of minor medical conditions.
The shelter emphasizes that pre-registration is not necessary for participation. However, they strongly recommend that attendees bring any medical and vaccination records for their pets to ensure efficient and effective care. In a statement released on their Facebook page, the Bradshaw Animal Shelter highlighted the importance of safety for all attendees and their pets. All dogs must be leashed, and puppies should be kept in carriers to protect them from potential exposure to parvovirus present on the ground. This wellness clinic represents a valuable opportunity for Sacramento County’s pet owners to access crucial health services for their furry family members, underlining the shelter’s commitment to the community’s animal welfare.
