Rio Linda Man Killed in Hit and Run

A vehicle vs. motorcycle hit-and-run collision occurred in Sacramento on Saturday night, March 9th at Rio Linda Boulevard and Ephesus Avenue. The vehicle had fled the scene before the officer’s arrival.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s office later identified the victim as 38-year-old Daniel Lee Morris of Rio Linda.

Detectives from the Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigations Unit took over the investigation. Detectives and crime scene investigators conducted a thorough canvass of the area for evidence, witnesses, and additional information. The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.

Authorities are seeking information to find the driver responsible for the incident.
