Sacramento County’s Bradshaw Animal Shelter is participating in Empty the Shelters May 1 through May 15. The nationwide adoption event is sponsored by Bissell Pet Foundation and helps homeless pets find families by making adoption affordable for prospective pet owners.
During the event, there will be no adoption fees for dogs and cats. To adopt a shelter pet or two, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter at 3839 Bradshaw Rd, Sacramento, CA 95827. The shelter is open Tuesday – Sunday noon to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday noon to 6:00 p.m. All available pets can be viewed online at animalcare.saccounty.gov.
Adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, current vaccines, a lifetime microchip registration, and one-year licensing (for county residents).
