Rio Linda, CA – The Woodland Wolves continued their tough season, falling to the Rio Linda Knights by a score of 37-20. This marks the Wolves’ ninth consecutive loss.
The Knights, who had fallen to Woodland in their previous matchup, exacted revenge with a dominant performance. Joseph Corey was a standout for Rio Linda, rushing for 74 yards and a touchdown, while also contributing 36 receiving yards and another score. Shamar Crudup added to the offensive explosion with a thrilling kickoff return touchdown.
It was also Senior Night in Rio Linda, when the Knights honor their Senior players, cheerleaders and Marching band members.
With this victory, Rio Linda improves to 3-6 on the season, while Woodland’s record drops to 0-9.
The Knights will travel to 4-5 Dixon on Friday night to face the Dixon Rams.
