The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors will continue offering $1 million through the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Grant Program to support local nonprofit organizations in Fiscal Year 2025-26. For the past eight years, the Board has funded community-based programs focused on economic and workforce development, arts and culture, community improvement, and health services. This initiative started in 2017.
Grants will be awarded through a competitive process, with applicants required to meet specific eligibility criteria. Applications will open online through the County’s Office of Budget and Debt Management from Jan. 13, 2025, at 8 a.m. to Feb. 14, 2025, at 5 p.m. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. An electronic receipt confirmation will be provided upon submission.
The TOT Grant Program is funded by revenue from the Transient Occupancy Tax, which is applied to short-term stays in hotels, motels, and other lodging within unincorporated Sacramento County.
