Echoes of Gibson Ranch Still Ringing

RIO LINDA, Calif. – Remember 2015, when Gibson Ranch shook with the roar of Aftershock? Ten years ago, that incredible event brought the heart of rock right to our backyard, and now, the organizers of the West Coast’s biggest rock festival are teasing the 2025 lineup, keeping that energy alive!
While this year’s Aftershock will return to Discovery Park in Sacramento from October 2-5, the memory of the sheer power and excitement that pulsed through Gibson Ranch during past Aftershock events remains strong in our community. And it’s no surprise, with the festival’s dedication to bringing top-tier rock acts.
This week, organizers revealed three of the bands set to headline: British metalcore giants Bring Me The Horizon, Motionless in White, and The Plot In You.
Bring Me The Horizon made their first Aftershock appearance at Gibson Ranch in 2015 with frontman Oliver Sykes who helped define a generation of metalcore. Despite their past reputation for intense live shows, their inclusion is a testament to Aftershock’s commitment to delivering impactful performances.
For Rio Linda residents who experienced the festival’s earlier presence at Gibson Ranch, this news brings back memories of the raw energy and community spirit that filled the air. And for those who missed it, this is your chance to be part of a legendary rock experience just a short drive away.
The full lineup drops at noon on Wednesday, and tickets are already on sale. Layaway plans, starting at just $1, are available on the Aftershock website.
