Rio Linda, CA / Elverta, CA – November 23, 2010
The Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District announced the renovation to the Armand Nadeau Dog Park at 6601 West Second St. in Rio Linda, CA.
Using additional funds provided by a State Funded Per-Capita grant, the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District plans to upgrade both Westside Park and the existing Armand Nadeau Dog Park. This State grant funded project is provided by the Resource Bond Act for capital projects.
Scheduled to begin in early December, the plan will expand the size of the Dog Park tripling the current size, installation of a new score board for the ball field, new fencing with separate areas for large dogs and small dogs, maintenance access roads and gates, improved landscaping, resealing the parking lot, repairing parking lot bollards and expanding the irrigation system for additional landscaping.
The project will conclude by February 2011. Access to the area including the parking lot at Westside Park will be closed during construction.
