Pay attention, Metalheads… the 2022 edition of the Aftershock music festival at Discovery Park kicks off on Thursday, October 6th, just 5 weeks away. And if you thought it couldn’t be a bigger event than it already was, hold on to your hat… 2022 promises to be bigger than ever, by expanding to four full days of music and activities, adding a fourth music stage, and featuring over 90 bands.
This year’s event will take place over four days, October 6-7-8-9, and features bands such as headliners Slipknot and Rob Zombie (Thursday), KISS and Danzig (Friday), My Chemical Romance and local favorites Papa Roach (Saturday), and MUSE and Shinedown (Sunday), along with a range of additional top artists including Bring Me The Horizon, Evanescence, Lamb Of God, A Day To Remember, Halestorm, Stone Temple Pilots, Chevelle, and many more.
The lineup has undergone some changes in the time since the festival was announced. Primarily, MUSE has replaced Foo Fighters as the Sunday headliner. Recently, Aussie rockers Architects also announced that they would be canceling their tour, including a stop in Sacramento.
