Returning October 5-8, 2023 To Discovery Park
In a highly anticipated unveiling this week, the Aftershock Festival 2023 lineup announcement has sent shockwaves through the Northern California concert-going community. With headliners like Guns N’ Roses, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, and Tool, this year’s event promises to be an electrifying extravaganza that you won’t want to miss.
Taking place from October 5th to 8th at Sacramento’s Discovery Park, Aftershock 2023 is set to build on the success of the 2022 edition, which drew a staggering 160,000 fans and contributed nearly $30 million to the local community. The festival grounds will transform into a mecca for music enthusiasts, featuring everything from headbanging anthems to timeless classics and emerging talents.
In addition to the previously announced headliners, Guns N’ Roses and Korn, Aftershock 2023 boasts a lineup that includes renowned rock acts like Incubus, Godsmack, Megadeth, and Avenged Sevenfold. In total, nearly 100 bands will grace the stage during the festival’s four-day run.
Since its inception as a single-day festival in 2012, Aftershock has risen to prominence as one of the nation’s premier rock festivals. In 2021, it earned the distinction of being the world’s third-highest-grossing music festival, as recognized by the concert trade publication Pollstar.
Aftershock Festival is proudly produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, a Los Angeles-based company renowned for organizing and promoting rock festivals across the United States, including Louder Than Life in Louisville and Welcome to Rockville at the Daytona International Speedway.
Danny Hayes, CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents, expressed gratitude for the festival’s partnership with the city and county of Sacramento, emphasizing its role in creating a global brand that showcases the unique charm of Sacramento.
This year’s Aftershock 2023 coincides with Sacramento’s efforts to establish itself as a hub for music festivals, alongside its culinary offerings. The city allocated $1.5 million in 2022 to support festivals and events, with funds disbursed to Visit Sacramento. This support has helped secure GoldenSky, a country music festival produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, immediately following Aftershock on October 14th and 15th at Discovery Park, featuring headliners Eric Church, Elle King, and Wynonna Judd.
As anticipation builds, organizers are predicting that tickets for Aftershock 2023 will sell out rapidly. Ticket options start at just $10 down through March 31st, with weekend general admission passes available from $379 plus fees and weekend VIP passes from $699 plus fees. Prices are set to rise in the coming weeks.
