The fourth annual Aftershock Festival is moving from Discovery Park and taking up residence in our own backyard at Gibson Ranch in Elverta.
This year’s show, taking place on October 24th and 25th, features Sacramento’s own Deftones as headliners along with metal favorites Jane’s Addiction, Slipknot, Faith No More, Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin and Stone Temple Pilots.
According to the Sacramento Bee, in previous years the two-day festival drew 17,000 attendees daily. They expect Gibson Ranch to accommodate 25,000 concertgoers per day, and expect the festival to generate $11.6 million in economic impact.

Gibson Ranch will also be host to the “City of Trees Summer Concert Event” on August 15th. That show will feature Sacramento’s own Cake, along with Monsters of Men and James Bay.
There’s not much more information available at this point—here’s the Facebook event page—other than free parking.
