Congratulations to your Varsity Football Rio Linda Knights for their 15 – 13 victory Friday night vs. the Ponderosa Bruins!
The Knights were led by Danny Perez with his last second 35 yard game-winning field goal! Marcel Brown had 106 yards rushing on 26 carries and 1 touchdown. Leonard Skattebo led the defense with 11 tackles, 1 sack, and scored 1 touchdown on offense.
The Bruins were 4 – 0 and averaging over 50 points a game before Friday and the Knights ruined their homecoming!
Come support the Knights this Friday at Bella Vista as they take on the Broncos in their first CVC league game. Rio Linda is currently 4 – 1 and ranked 16th in the Sacramento Bee.
