Sonoma Raceway is shifting gears for the 2025 season, placing the Toyota/Save Mart 350 weekend smack dab in the heart of summer. Mark your calendars for July 11-13, 2025, for a race weekend fueled by adrenaline and California sunshine.
This mid-summer move aims to attract a wider audience, particularly families with campers and college students seeking a thrilling summer adventure. “We’re excited to offer the Toyota/Save Mart 350 during peak vacation time,” said Brian Flynn, Sonoma Raceway’s Executive Vice President and General Manager. “The extended three-day schedule provides even more reasons for fans to experience the exhilaration of racing in Northern California.”
The new date coincides with NASCAR’s “Midsummer Madness” tournament, a five-race elimination-style competition announced earlier in 2024. Sonoma Raceway will be one of the five featured tracks challenging the 32 participating drivers.
Sonoma’s July weekend culminates with the highly anticipated Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday, July 13th, marking NASCAR’s sole California visit for the 2025 season. Fans can expect the popular “chute configuration,” renowned for its tight turns and close battles, to enhance the on-track excitement.
Nestled within the rolling hills of wine country, the challenging 1.99-mile road course provides a picturesque backdrop for intense competition. Drivers will navigate 10 turns and elevation changes over the course of the 110-lap race.
The Toyota/Save Mart 350 will be the 21st event on the 36-race NASCAR Cup Series schedule, with Sonoma Raceway serving as the fourth of six road/street course races.
Details regarding practice and qualifying times, broadcast partners, and supporting races will be announced later.
