In memory of Mr. Dan McIntire (Daniel Allen McIntire I) of Rio Linda/Sacramento, who passed away on Wednesday, November 1st at the age of 63.
Dan wore many vests and wrote the chapters to his own book. He loved life and lived it his way. He would want no one to be sad and in his wishes has asked us to have a party in his honor and remembrance. It is with fond memories that we celebrate with friends and family and hope to see you all there for a final hoorah.
Dan was born to parents Billie (Sloan) and Donald McIntire on January 4th,1954 in Sacramento, Ca. He grew up as the eldest boy of seven children and attended Rio Linda High School.
In 1974, he married his high school sweetheart, Vella Barnes.
Dan is survived by his wife Vella, 3 children- Daniel Allen McIntire II (‘Lil Dan), Nicole (Nikki) Denice McIntire and Amanda (Mandy) Mae McIntire as well as his brother and sister Dwain and Terresa Sloan, 4 grandchildren Britnee Chasten, Gabrielle McIntire, Alexander McIntire and Aaron McIntire and 2 great-grandchildren, Harbour and Hudson. He is preceded in death by his parents Billie and Donald and by his siblings Jean McIntire and Diana Sloan; his sisters, and Dennis and Howard (Ted) Sloan; his brothers.
The cremation has already taken place and friends and family are invited to attend a memorial/birthday celebration in his honor and memory on January 6, 2018 from 1pm-6pm at the American Legion Post 521, 6700 8th Street, Rio Linda CA, 95673 916-991-9921
