Joseph Jacob Leonhardt Jr.
July 25, 1934 – October 23, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Jacob Leonhardt Jr., a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend. Joe, as he was affectionately known, was born on July 25, 1934, and departed from this world on October 23, 2023, at the age of 89.
A proud veteran, Joe served his country with honor and distinction in the Air Force during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his son, Norman, Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Marion, their son, David, grandchildren; Jonathan, Amanda, Amber, Kevin, Vincent, and great-grandchildren; Tessa, Jaidynne, Madilynne, Zoe, Sophia, Raelynn, David, Brody, Gavin, Levi, & Andrew. Joe’s memory will be forever cherished by his family and the countless friends who were fortunate to have been a part of his life.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM TOMORROW November 10th, 2023 at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes – 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95838.
Joseph Jacob Leonhardt Jr. will be remembered not for the tears of his passing but for the laughter and love he shared during his journey through life. May he rest in eternal peace.
