Vandals struck Rio Linda High School last week. The words “Trump will deport you” were tagged on a Spanish teacher’s door at Rio Linda High sometime Thursday night/Friday morning. They also wrote “Slavery was a choice”, echoing Kanye West’s recent TMZ interview, and singled out one of the teachers as a Jew.
Four classrooms, two elevator doors, and a wall were tagged with hate messages.
School officials say the graffiti was cleaned up by 8:30, an hour after class started, and admitted they missed one door with the hateful message about deportation. That was removed by 10:30 a.m.
According to Good Day Sacramento, Twin Rivers Unified School District said, “We are deeply disturbed by the graffiti discovered at one of our schools last week as it is behavior that is unacceptable.”
Update:
In a telephone interview with Twin Rivers Police Chief David Lugo this afternoon, he related that it’s an ongoing investigation, being investigated as vandalism and a possible hate crime. They do have video surveillance which is currently being reviewed.
