With heavy hearts, Rio Linda mourns the passing of Martha Rorrer, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of our community. Martha passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at the age of 85.
Martha’s warmth and kindness were a beacon in Rio Linda. For many years, she was a familiar and friendly face behind the bar at our local American Legion, where her dedication and genuine care made her a true pillar of our community. People came for a drink, but they stayed for Martha’s laughter and the stories she shared so generously. She always had a listening ear, a kind word, and a welcoming smile for everyone who walked through the door.

More than just a skilled bartender, Martha was a true friend to countless residents. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, ensuring a good time was had by all. Her presence at the American Legion was a constant source of comfort and joy, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering community spirit.
Above all, Martha was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family was the center of her world. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
