Last night was the final night of the Rio Linda Farmers Market and Peddlers Fair at Depot Park.
For many years, the Farmers Market has brought people and interest to Downtown Rio Linda with produce vendors, food trucks, live music, handcrafts and others.
Charlea Moore has been the dutiful steward of the event since 2007 and has decided to hand over the reins to Sherry and Maceo of local grower H&K Farms who have recently left the fruit stand at the Church of Rio Linda on Dry Creek Road. They are currently working with the Rio Linda/Elverta Historical Society to start a farming operation on the Historic Dry Creek Ranch property on Dry Creek Road.
The new Rio Linda Farmers Market & Peddlers Fair will be moving to the Dry Creek Ranch House property at 6852 Dry Creek Road, and will be held on Saturdays with a Grand Re-Opening scheduled for June 3rd (6852 Dry Creek).
For more information, please call H&K Farms at (916) 241-6738, or visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HandKfarms/
