Robert “Bob” Bastian was a dedicated community leader who passed away on January 12, 2022. Born and raised in North Sacramento, Mr. Bastian’s impact resonated deeply within our local area.
To honor his lasting legacy, a section of the Dry Creek Parkway Trail has been officially named “The Robert F. Bastian Memorial Trail.”

For over three decades, he poured his passion into education, shaping young minds at Del Paso Junior High, Lincoln High School, and most significantly, within the Rio Linda Union School District.
