Rio Linda, CA (October 24, 2024) – The Rio Linda Lady Knights Flag Football team has clinched the Golden Empire League Championship, finishing the season with an impressive record of 10-2 in league play and 14-6 overall.
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Svetlana Stepanchuk, the Lady Knights have showcased exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the season. Their recent 7-game winning streak has solidified their position as a dominant force in the league.
Currently ranked #6 in Division 3, the Lady Knights enter the playoffs with momentum on their side. Their accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and coaches.
Seeding will be finalized tomorrow (10/25). As of now, the Knights’ potential opponent could be Oakmont. The game will be played in Rio Linda at Marion Adams Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. on October 29th.
