National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It’s held on the first Tuesday in August every year.
The goal of National Night Out is to raise awareness as a community-based day and to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement. The event gives neighbors an opportunity to join together to increase crime prevention and awareness.
The 40th Annual National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, between 6pm and 8pm.
In Rio Linda, our National Night Out event is always held at the Rio Linda Library at 6th and M Streets in Downtown Rio Linda.
Sponsored by the Rio Linda Elverta Neighborhood Association and the Rio Linda Elverta Country Lions, many local organizations come together to bring the community together for hot dogs, cold drinks, and good vibes. We will welcome many of our first responders from The Sacramento County Sheriff’s office, Twin Rivers Police, Fulton-El Camino Police, and Metro Fire to name a few.
