Rio Linda is going to do it the old-fashioned way.
The Knights are playing in the Idaho Classic on Saturday at the University of Idaho’s Kibbie Dome.
But unlike Whitney and Vanden, the two other California high schools competing in the showcase event, Rio Linda will bus to Moscow, Idaho, instead of fly.

Morris is known for his sense of humor, something that could be tested before, during and after the Knights’ game against Lake City of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Morris doesn’t know much about Lake City, a 5A school, Idaho’s largest division. The Timberwolves are 2-1 and ranked No. 8 in the state by Maxpreps.com.
“But they look pretty good on film,” he said. “They look very physical and very well coached.”
Rio Linda (1-1), which saw its streak of eight straight playoff appearances end last season, beat Antelope 40-35 Friday as junior running back Lamar Bible rushed for 213 yards and four touchdowns.
