On Wednesday May 9th, William H. Thomas was arrested on suspicion of burning a Rio Linda woman in an Antelope mobile home park home last month.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department believes that Thomas torched a mobile home (7500 block of Costa Mesa Circle) on April 1 while Aryanna Lynn Doyle of Rio Linda was inside. Doyle’s body was found by Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District first responders at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Thomas was already in Sacramento County Jail on other arson charges when he was arrested on suspicion of murder and arson.
Doyle and Thomas were acquaintances, although the nature of the relationship has not been established. According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, the woman’s body was identified by her husband, Joshua Doyle.
Thomas has a criminal history in Sacramento County, which includes being convicted or pleading no contest to battery with serious bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, reception of stolen property, two counts of corporal injury to spouse and two counts of resisting arrest.
The SSD does not know whether Doyle was burned alive or killed before the home was lit on fire.
No other suspects are currently being investigated in her death.
