On December 14, 2019, the Rio Linda Elverta community will host its 4th annual Christmas Light Parade through Downtown Rio Linda. Roads will begin to close at 4:00 pm as permitted by the County of Sacramento.
The parade will take place at 6 pm and will last appx. 3 hours. All streets intersecting with M Street between West 2nd and Curved Bridge Road will be CLOSED to cross traffic between 4:00 and 9:00 pm.
All closed roads will be barricaded, and the Twin Rivers Police Department and the Sacramento Valley Equestrian Patrol will be providing road closure assistance.
If you are commuting, you are encouraged to avoid the area during this time. Rio Linda Blvd. will be CLOSED at the archway, both north, and south. Commuters are encouraged to use West 4th, West 6th, and Dry Creek Road to get north and south of the parade closures.
In addition, West 2nd Street will be closed to northbound traffic at Withington Avenue to facilitate parade preparations.
