This is an update from the Sacramento County Sheriffs Department via Sherry Carhart (North Crime Prevention Specialist, Sheriff’s North Patrol Division) and Erwin Hayer;
- The next Sheriff Community meeting for Rio Linda/Elverta/Garden Hwy, is September 18th at 530pm. The Sheriff Department will not be at the 17 July CASA Meeting. The meetings are held at Rio Linda Park and Recreation Center, 810 Oak Lane, Rio Linda.
- National Night Out is next month on August 5th.
- All Outdoor Marijuana grows are now completely illegal.
- Panhandlers no longer can beg or request money from you and they can not approach you in places where you are vulnerable; this includes gas stations, intersections, bank ATMs, check cashing businesses, entrances to parking lots, medians or sidewalk within 200 feet of an intersection, bus stops, light rail stations, or anytime that you are in your car; where ever you are.
