At 12:17am on Tuesday July 2nd, Sacramento County Sheriff’s officers responded to a shooting call in the 6000 block of Dry Creek Road in Rio Linda.
Rio Linda Online has learned that he shooting took place at the Creekside Apartments, next to the Stop and Shop at Dry Creek and E Streets.
According to Sacramento County Sheriff Public Information Officer Tess Deterding, a male victim was shot multiple times, and transported to a local hospital by Metro Fire.
There was no suspect information, and Sheriff’s deputies found several people in the location to be uncooperative.
Rio Linda Online has learned that the description given at the time of the crime was “Male adult, wearing all black, black hoodie, left unknown direction.”
We’ve also learned that the victim suffered four gunshot wounds.
No one has been arrested for the crime, and the victim is expected to survive.
