Want a happy start to your new year? Why not adopt your new best friend from the Bradshaw Animal Shelter? Adoptions are only $25, and we’ve already had our first adoption of 2019!
Athena, known affectionately as “Pudding,” is a Pit Bull Terrier mix who has lived at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter since Nov. 29, and was also the shelter’s first adoption this year.
Over the weekend, Athena’s new parents, Cassidy and Agama, drove down from Folsom to adopt her, but she just wasn’t available to leave yet, so they had to wait a few more days. Not wanting to let this sweet pup go home with another family, Cassidy and Agama arrived right when the shelter opened. One stood in front of the kennel to keep Athena company while the other waited in the adoption line to sign her paperwork.
Athena was very excited to go home with her new parents, where she will have the opportunity to show off her sweet personality and be her gentle, playful, cuddly self.
The Bradshaw Animal Shelter has a wide variety of animals available to adopt today. Cassidy and Agama may have adopted Sacramento County’s first animal in 2019, but it’s not too late to adopt your new best friend in 2019.
