At this morning’s Sacramento County Board of Supervisors meeting, District 4 Supervisor Sue Frost grabbed a big piece of transportation pie for Rio Linda and Elverta.
With that money allocated, three major road projects have been confirmed.
- 1.6 miles of Elkhorn Boulevard will be repaved from Rio Linda Boulevard to East Levee Road. This will begin in September 2019.
- 2.5 miles of Rio Linda Boulevard will be repaved, from Elverta Road to Riego Road (Placer County line). This will begin in September 2019.
- Replacing Rio Linda Boulevard Bridge at the north channel of Dry Creek. Taking out the structurally deficient two-lane concrete bridge and replacing with a new two-lane concrete slab bridge. Starts November 2018.
Supervisor Sue Frost said:
“I’m thrilled to have been able to prioritize funds to help roads in the Rio Linda/Elverta area. I understand how difficult it has been for everyone out here and I want to keep fighting as we go forward for more funding. This is the first of many improvements!”
