The Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Parks District has put together some unique and original summer programs to keep the kids busy during that long summer vacation.
The High School pool opens for public swim on June 16th. The pool will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30 to 4:30pm, and Saturday/Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Admission is $3, or you can buy a season pass for $50. There’s also a ten-visit card for $20.
The RLE Community Theater program is kicking off on July 1st with youth theater classes and set design classes.
The Freshi Video Game Design & Swim Summer Camps kick off on June 23rd. Participants will learn how to design their own video game and then get to enjoy the pool in the afternoons.
Students will work in pairs to create their own characters, background, action, music and format of their very own video game which they will get to take home to play with their friends and family!
